COMPANY
About Us
"If someone needs help, reach out without hesitation." For 30 years, this belief has guided us as we connect people and companies across Japan's hotel industry.
GREETING
A Message from Our CEO
In my mid-thirties, I left my salaried job on what felt like a once-in-a-lifetime leap of faith. The world wasn't kind. I tried everything, nothing bore fruit, and I found myself struggling just to survive. I had two young boys — one in first grade, one in kindergarten — and at that point, all I hoped for was enough food on the table. When I went shopping at the local market, the shopkeeper would quietly wrap up some side dishes for us. A neighbour would lend me their car. Looking back, it's embarrassing to admit, but I have never felt human kindness so powerfully as I did then.
Decades have passed. Now that I've reached a certain age, I've decided to follow the example of that shopkeeper — to live in a way that is genuinely useful to others.

PHILOSOPHY
Our Philosophy
"If someone needs help, reach out without hesitation."
In our business, connecting people and companies means, at its core, connecting people with people. The most important thing in any people business is to put yourself in the other person's shoes and ask — honestly — what they need from you.
Reaching out to someone in difficulty may not always solve their problem. But extending your hand — that, anyone can do. That gesture itself is what matters. At Hotel Kyujin Agent, we cultivate people who make this a natural part of who they are, both in and out of the workplace.
CONCEPT
The Hotejin Concept: The 7:3 Principle
Our guiding concept is the 7:3 Principle: 70% focus on the job seeker, 30% on the employer. This ratio reflects a considered belief — that in today's market, simply satisfying an employer's stated requirements doesn't necessarily lead to a successful, lasting hire. By keeping the candidate at the centre of what we do and genuinely serving their career goals, we believe we ultimately deliver better outcomes for employers too. That's the Hotejin way.
About the Name "Hotejin"
Our company's full name — HOTEL KYUJIN AGENT CO.,LTD. — is a mouthful, so we go by the nickname "Hotejin" (ホテ人). It combines "hotel" and "hito" (人, meaning "people"), capturing both our industry focus and our people-first approach. The dark navy of our logo embodies the dignity, trust and growth that have defined us across 30 years in the field.

SUSTAINABILITY
Sustainability
Caring for people. Supporting the future of the hotel industry and those who work within it.
We do not see sustainability as a separate framework. We see it as the ongoing practice of the values we have held since our founding — carried out through our core work of connecting people with careers. Guided by the belief that "if someone needs help, reach out without hesitation," we practise our 7:3 Principle: placing the job seeker at the centre of everything we do.
We have no interest in saying only what sounds good. Because we genuinely care about the growth of job seekers, employers and our own organisation, we value what we call chokugen — speaking plainly, even when it is not what people want to hear. A business where only one party is satisfied is not worth doing. Job seeker satisfaction, employer satisfaction, and the satisfaction of those of us supporting the process: only when all three are present do we consider ourselves to have fulfilled our professional responsibility.
Building relationships where honesty flows in both directions, and working together toward outcomes that all parties can stand behind — we believe that it is precisely this kind of integrity, accumulated one engagement at a time, that contributes to the sustainable development of the hotel industry as a whole.
